The 12–24V motion detector automates the on/off control of your LED strips with no manual intervention. Compatible with LED strips and modules at 12V or 24V DC, it connects inline between the power supply and the LED strip via a rising-clamp screw terminal. As soon as motion is detected, the strip turns on automatically and can drive loads up to 5A at 24V.
The sensor detects body movement within a 5-meter (16.5-foot) radius across a 120-degree cone. The shutoff delay is adjustable from 1 to 10 minutes via the external adjustment port, and the ambient light threshold is also adjustable to prevent unwanted triggering in daylight conditions. Detection is optimized for dark areas such as hallways, cabinets, bathrooms, basements, warehouses, and garages — anywhere automatic lighting improves comfort and reduces energy consumption. For projects that also require manual control, the detector can be combined with the R21 starter kit or the W21 wall controller.
