Dimmable LED panels for uniform, controllable light
In a boardroom-format conference room (6–20 people around an elongated table), 60 × 120 cm LED panels along the central ceiling axis above the table are the reference solution. Two to four panels aligned with the table deliver 500 lux across the entire surface without dark zones at the ends. Their CRI 90+ faithfully reproduces skin tones and documents, and their flicker-free emission suits videoconference-equipped environments.
DALI (Digital Addressable Lighting Interface) dimming allows individual or grouped fixture control from a wall panel or building management system. Presentation track and feature wall
A boardroom's back wall — often displaying the company logo, a projection screen or institutional signage — deserves dedicated lighting. Rail-mounted spots aimed at the presentation wall create architectural enhancement that reinforces brand image during presentations. Incidence angle is calculated to eliminate reflections on interactive screens and lacquered whiteboards. For rooms equipped with lateral videoconference screens, indirect bias lighting behind the screen (6500 K) reduces eye strain for participants facing cameras and improves captured image quality.
Integration with AV and building management systems
In a modern boardroom, lighting integrates with the central AV system (AMX, Crestron, Extron) via DALI, DMX or simple relay protocols. When the presenter starts projection, lighting automatically shifts to presentation mode: presentation spots at 100 %, table fixtures at 30 %, background spots off. When presentation ends, lighting returns to meeting mode in one command. This automation eliminates manual adjustments and ensures a consistent experience for every room user.
