Parking lot lighting directly impacts the safety of people and property. Insufficient illumination encourages incidents, deters nighttime use and creates a poor image for the businesses and buildings it serves. Canadian standards recommend a minimum of 20 lux in circulation zones and 50 lux at entries and intersections for commercial parking lots. Modern LED fixtures reach these levels at two to three times lower energy consumption than the sodium or mercury lamps they replace. LED shoebox fixtures for surface parking on poles

The shoebox (area light) is the reference solution for surface parking lot lighting. Mounted on 15–30 foot poles, it projects light downward and sideways according to a precise photometric distribution that covers large surfaces with a limited number of fixtures. A 150 W shoebox can cover a 20–25 meter diameter zone at 20 lux from a 20-foot pole.

The IES photometry file for each model allows pre-installation simulation of exact light distribution — you know precisely how many fixtures are needed to reach the required illumination level on your site. Our LED shoeboxes offer over 150 lm/W efficacy, 100,000-hour lifespan and CRI 70+ for good readability of plates and signage. DLC certified for commercial and institutional fixture replacements, they qualify for Hydro-Québec rebate programs. Replacing 20 old sodium vapor fixtures with LED shoeboxes typically delivers 60–70 % savings on parking lighting costs.

LED wall packs for building walls and facades

Wall pack LED fixtures mounted on building exterior walls illuminate entry zones, pedestrian side paths and loading areas adjacent to the structure. Their wall mount simplifies installation versus poles and suits small parking areas or zones where poles aren't practical. The asymmetric photometric distribution of modern wall packs projects light toward the ground without glare toward the sky (dark sky compliant). Available in 40 W, 80 W and 120 W, IP65 certified for outdoor use in Quebec conditions. An optional integrated motion sensor reduces consumption by 50 % between passes and restores full power in under a second upon detection.

LED high bay for covered garages and structured parking

In a covered garage, indoor parking structure or multi-level parking facility, LED high bay or mid bay fixtures provide uniform illumination between vehicle rows. Suspended from ceilings or surface-mounted on concrete structures, they maintain the 100–200 lux level recommended for indoor parking per IESNA standards. Available in 100 W, 150 W and 200 W for ceiling heights from 5 m to 10 m, operating at 120-347V for three-phase installations in large institutional buildings. Many models include integrated occupancy sensing and dimming: at 20 % standby between 11 PM and 6 AM, instant return to 100 % on detection — reducing nighttime consumption by 70–80 %.
