The Lutron Maestro occupancy sensor switch combines a standard switch with a passive infrared sensor that detects the heat from occupants moving within a room. This allows it to determine if the space is occupied and automatically adjust the lighting or connected load to save energy.
The sensor provides a 180° detection field with coverage up to 9 meters by 9 meters for major motions, and up to 6 meters by 6 meters for minor motions. It can be set to occupancy mode with automatic ON and OFF, or manual ON with automatic OFF.
The timeout can be adjusted to 1, 5, 15, or 30 minutes, and the sensor sensitivity is also adjustable. This switch is compatible with various load types, including incandescent, halogen, CFL, LED, fluorescent bulbs, as well as fans, offering great installation flexibility.
