The UVA LED strip 6W/m (IP22) is a type-A ultraviolet LED strip running on 24V DC, emitting in the 360–410 nm spectral range. This near-visible UVA band is used across a wide range of specialized applications: fluorescence detection, UV lighting effects, resin curing, industrial inspection and supplemental lighting in advanced horticulture. Not to be confused with germicidal UVC strips — this UVA strip is designed for decorative, analytical and horticultural applications, and is not a sterilization device.

cULus certified and compliant with electrical standards in effect in both Canada and the United States, with a lifespan of up to 50,000 hours. Its IP22 rating makes it suited for dry indoor environments.

UVA Wavelength — 360 to 410 nm                       

The 360–410 nm range covers the long UVA spectrum and the visible violet fringe. This band is particularly effective for:

• UV Fluorescence – Activates fluorescent paints, inks, pigments and materials for intense visual effects under black light.
• Inspection and Detection – Reveals traces, cracks, contaminants and markings invisible to the naked eye under white light.
• Curing – Compatible with certain UV resins and adhesives curing in the 365–405 nm range.
• Advanced Horticulture – As a supplement to a grow light system, UVA wavelengths promote the production of terpenes, anthocyanins and flavonoids in select plant species.

Performance and Installation                       

This UVA LED strip must be installed in a dry indoor environment (IP22). For improved thermal management and more directional output, installation inside an aluminum profile is recommended. UV protective eyewear is advised during installation and maintenance in close proximity to the strip while in operation.

For horticultural applications, this strip is intended as a supplement to a primary grow light source (red/blue or full spectrum) — it does not provide sufficient light output for photosynthesis on its own.

This LED strip consumes approximately 1.8 watts per foot. Simply multiply the total installed length by 1.8 to determine the required wattage.

Always add a 20% safety margin to ensure system stability and longevity.

• 1 reel (5 m / ~16 ft) = 30W → 40W or 60W power supply recommended
• 2 reels (~32 ft) = 60W → 60W or 96W power supply recommended
• 4 reels (~64 ft) = 120W → 150W power supply recommended

Use a 24V power supply matched to the total calculated wattage.
