FAQ — Color temperature
Which color temperature should I choose for a kitchen?
A 3000 K is the most versatile choice: warm without yellowing the countertops. For a heavily used work surface, 3500 K or 4000 K gives a crisper light. Compare both in the simulator — that is exactly what it is for.
What is the difference between 2700 K and 3000 K?
Both are warm whites. 2700 K leans toward the amber of incandescent bulbs — perfect for cozy bedrooms and living rooms; 3000 K is a cleaner warm, the best-selling residential standard at LEDCO.
Which temperature is best for makeup in the bathroom?
Around 4000 K: it is the most color-accurate light. The ideal setup is a well-lit LED mirror for precision, plus a warmer ambient source for the rest of the room.
Can I mix several temperatures in the same room?
Our recommendation: no. Keep ONE consistent temperature per room — mixed whites quickly look like a Christmas tree. It is easiest to get right at the START of a project: pick your temperature early and apply it everywhere.
Are the simulator photos real?
They are AI-generated images, then calibrated temperature by temperature. The rendering is indicative: faithful to the overall effect, but every real room reacts according to its own colors and finishes.
How can I be sure of my choice before buying?
Note the temperature (it is part of the product name), and if in doubt write to us or visit our Saint-Hubert showroom — we will show you the temperatures side by side on real products.
