LED BATHROOM LIGHTING DORVAL
LED bathroom lighting must meet specific requirements: moisture resistance, accurate colour rendering for grooming routines, and a pleasant atmosphere for relaxation. CSA standards define protection zones around showers and tubs. LEDCO offers a complete range of LED solutions for every bathroom zone — from backlit LED mirrors to IP65-rated shower pot lights, wall sconces, and LED vanity fixtures.
LED Backlit Mirrors — The Perfect Grooming Tool
LED backlit mirrors have become a must-have in modern bathrooms. Their diffused perimeter lighting eliminates facial shadows, making them ideal for makeup application, shaving, and skincare. Choose CRI 90 or higher for accurate colour rendering close to natural daylight. Our anti-fog models keep the mirror clear even during hot showers. Available from 24 to 60 inches wide, with optional clock, touch sensor, and adjustable colour temperature (3000K–6500K).
LED Vanity Lights and Wall Sconces — Shadow-Free Face Lighting
LED vanity sconces complement or replace the overhead ceiling fixture for shadow-free face lighting. Positioned on either side of the mirror at eye level, they deliver optimal rendering for daily grooming. Rated IP44, our LED wall sconces can be installed in Zone 2 (more than 24 inches from the shower or tub). Pair with a dimmer to adjust intensity throughout the day — bright in the morning, soft in the evening.
IP65 LED Recessed Lights for Showers
IP65-rated recessed ceiling fixtures are required in Zone 1 (inside the shower enclosure). LEDCO offers watertight 7W–15W models with tempered steam-resistant glass and EPDM silicone gaskets. Their smooth, seamless surface prevents mould buildup. Install with a wet-rated LED recessed module. A 3000K–4000K colour temperature is recommended for comfortable visibility inside the shower.
LED Strip Lights in Aluminum Profiles — Accent and Night Light
LED strip lights mounted in aluminum profiles create stunning accent effects under vanity cabinets, behind mirrors, or along baseboards. They also serve as adjustable night lights — practical for nighttime visits without turning on the main ceiling fixture. Use IP54 or IP67-rated strips near water sources. The aluminum profile acts as a heat sink, extending strip lifespan. Browse our full LED recessed lighting catalogue for more options.
Technical Tips — LED Bathroom Lighting
- CSA Zones: Zone 0 = inside tub/shower (IP67), Zone 1 = directly above tub/shower (IP65 min), Zone 2 = within 24 inches of water source (IP44 min), beyond Zone 2 = IP22 is sufficient.
- CRI 90 or higher: essential around the mirror for accurate makeup and shaving — CRI 80 distorts skin tones and foundation colours.
- Colour temperature: 3000K for flattering, relaxing light; 4000K if you prioritize clarity and precision in grooming tasks.
- Anti-fog mirror: choose a mirror with a built-in anti-fog heating film if your bathroom is poorly ventilated or you take long hot showers.
- Dedicated circuit: a dedicated 15A bathroom circuit is recommended in renovations — and required under the Quebec Construction Code in certain configurations.
