LED COMMERCIAL LIGHTS

Good commercial lighting does more than replace bulbs: it shows off the products, creates the atmosphere that brings customers back and makes staff more comfortable. Every type of business has its own needs: a CRI of 90 or more in a store, a warm 2700 K to 3000 K white in a restaurant, uniform light in an office. LEDCO supplies recessed lights, tracks, panels, strips and outdoor lighting, most of them rated 120 V to 347 V, for retail, restaurants, offices, clinics and hospitality.

Stores and retail: light that sells

In retail, lighting is a merchandising tool, and good retail lighting works in layers: general light to move around, accent light to sell. A CRI of 90 or more shows the true colours of clothing, jewellery and cosmetics. LED recessed lights keep the ceiling clean, and LED track spotlights aim the light at the displays, then move with the next planogram change.

The 4' 3-head 5CCT dimmable LED track light kit is a simple way to start. In a big-box store, LED high bays take over under high ceilings.

Grocery, butcher and bakery: food-grade LED strip

In a meat counter, a fruit display or a bakery case, light directly influences the urge to buy. The 16W/M food-grade LED strip is designed for exactly these three uses: meat, fruit and bakery products. Installed under a shelf or at the top of a refrigerated counter, it lights the product with no visible source, so the customer sees the food rather than the fixture. The full range is in our LED strips.

Offices and clinics: 2x2 and 2x4 panels at 4000 K

Poor office lighting leads to eye strain and lower concentration, and old fluorescent tubes are worth replacing with energy-efficient panels. In a tile ceiling, the 2x2 LED panel and its 2x4 and 1x4 formats deliver uniform light; a 4000 K white keeps teams alert. They accept 120 V to 347 V and offer three colour temperatures. Clinics and pharmacies use them in waiting rooms and corridors. The full range is in our LED panels, and T8 LED tubes convert the fluorescent fixtures you keep.

Restaurants, bars and hotels: a mood that dims

A restaurant's lighting affects how the food looks and how long guests stay at the table. A warm white of 2700 K to 3000 K with dimmable fixtures creates an intimate atmosphere; track spotlights aim at tables, artwork or the bar. LED strips under the counter or behind bottle shelves sign the decor. In a commercial kitchen, a vapour-tight fixture can be washed down without worry. In a hotel, the same logic applies: an impressive lobby, well-lit corridors, dimmable rooms.

Parking lots, façades and covered entrances

Outside, commercial lighting keeps people safe: a well-lit parking lot protects customers and staff alike. LED wall packs light façades and the perimeter; LED canopy lights suit covered entrances, pedestrian walkways and gas station canopies. By a door, one of our LED wall light fixtures greets customers with more style.

Custom-built: the linear fixture at the exact length

An architectural cove, a one-of-a-kind counter or a linear run of non-standard length? In our custom design tool, you enter your lengths, and our shop builds the strip, or the profile with its strip, ready to install. It is the go-to solution for interior designers, commercial contractors and retailers with a strong visual identity, who want a line of light that fits the space exactly. For standard linear fixtures, see our integrated LED fixtures.

Which commercial lighting for which business

  • Store: recessed lights and track spotlights, CRI 90 or more.
  • Grocery or butcher: food-grade strip in the counters.
  • Office or clinic: 2x2 or 2x4 panels at 4000 K.
  • Restaurant, bar, hotel: dimmable fixtures at 2700 K to 3000 K.
  • Big-box store: high bays under high ceilings.
  • Parking lot and façade: wall packs and canopy lights.

Technical tips for lighting a business

Light the product, not the aisle. Accent light on the displays sells; general lighting is only for getting around.

One colour temperature per space. Different whites in the same store look like an unfinished renovation.

Check the voltage of each model. Most of our commercial LED lights accept 120 V to 347 V, but not all: the range is on every spec sheet.

Plan for dimming from the start. A restaurant or a hotel changes mood through the day; it takes compatible fixtures and controls.

Think about the planogram. A track moves in minutes; a badly placed recessed light stays badly placed.

Commercial Lighting FAQ

What is the best commercial LED lighting for a store?

A base of recessed lights for general light, track spotlights for the displays, and a CRI of 90 or more so customers see true colours. A track has the advantage of following planogram changes with no new wiring.

What are the best commercial LED strip lights?

For meat, fruit or bakery counters, the 16W/M food-grade LED strip. For a display case, a backlit shelf or a cove, a strip in an aluminum profile, built to your lengths in our custom design tool.

What is the best industrial LED lighting for a retail warehouse?

Under a high ceiling, LED high bays, in UFO or linear format, at 120 V to 347 V. A motion sensor cuts consumption in rarely used aisles.

Do commercial LED lights run on 347 V?

Most of our panels, high bays, wall packs and integrated fixtures accept 120 V to 347 V, which simplifies wiring in a commercial building. Check each model's range on its spec sheet.
