The 24V 4.8W/m outdoor LED strip (IP66) is a versatile linear lighting solution designed for residential and commercial projects requiring uniform, energy-efficient and durable white light in outdoor environments. Running on constant-voltage 24V DC, this LED strip ensures a stable and safe power supply. Its molded silicone protective sleeve provides an IP66 rating, offering resistance to powerful water jets from any direction — heavy rain, wash-down, condensation and repeated freeze-thaw cycles. cULus certified and compliant with electrical standards in Canada and the United States, with a lifespan of up to 50,000 hours.

Color Temperatures                     

This LED strip is available in five white color temperatures to suit every outdoor lighting need:

• 2700K (Very Warm White) – Creates a warm and intimate ambiance, ideal for decks and outdoor relaxation areas.
• 3000K (Warm White) – Offers a natural balance between warmth and clarity, the most versatile choice for residential outdoor use.
• 3500K (Neutral-Warm White) – Brighter output while retaining a pleasant tone, well suited for galleries and pergolas.
• 4000K (Neutral White) – Crisp and precise light, ideal for commercial facades, staircases and pathways.
• 5000K (Cool White) – Daylight-intensity output, recommended for architectural highlighting and security lighting.

Performance and Installation                     

With a 120° beam angle, this LED strip delivers uniform, shadow-free light, ideal for soffits, facades and outdoor architectural contours. Its IP66 protection rating makes it suitable for environments exposed to direct rain, snow and water jets — decks, balconies, facades and exterior staircases. For maximum lifespan and a premium finish, installation inside an aluminum profile is strongly recommended. The profile mechanically protects the strip against impact, thermal expansion and ice buildup, improves heat dissipation and delivers a clean architectural look through its integrated diffuser.

Power Supply Calculator                     

This LED strip consumes approximately 1.5 watts per foot. Simply multiply the total installed length by 1.5 to determine the required wattage.

Always add a 20% safety margin to ensure system stability and longevity.

• 1 reel (5 m / ~16 ft) = 24W → 30W minimum power supply recommended
• 2 reels (~32 ft) = 48W → 60W minimum power supply recommended
• 4 reels (~64 ft) = 96W → 115W minimum power supply recommended

Use a 24V power supply matched to the total calculated wattage.

Dimming and Control                     

There are two ways to control the brightness of your outdoor LED strip.

The first and simplest option is a 120V LED wall dimmer (150W) — it installs directly in place of your existing switch, between the 120V line and a dimmable power supply, and lets you adjust brightness from the wall with no additional equipment required.

The second option: a wireless controller system made up of a receiver paired with a remote or wireless wall controller.

A zone is any section of lighting you want to control independently. For example, if you want soffit lighting to operate separately from deck lighting, or if one section needs a different brightness level than another, those represent two distinct zones.

If you want all lighting to always operate together (same brightness and simultaneous on/off), a single receiver is sufficient for the entire installation. However, if the total power of your project exceeds 225W on that zone, a 20A LED amplifier must be added to ensure stable, uniform and lasting output.

• 120V LED Wall Dimmer (150W) – Installs in place of your existing switch. Controls brightness from the wall, compatible with a dimmable power supply. 
   
• W21 – Wireless wall controller (AAA batteries), range up to 100 feet, up to 4 zones.
• R21 – Radio-frequency remote, range up to 100 feet, up to 4 zones.
• Universal 4-Zone 12A Receiver – Installed between the power supply and the LED strip to receive the signal (1 per independent zone).
• 20A LED Amplifier (480W at 24V) – Recommended for installations exceeding 225W per zone.
• WiFi Controller – Full brightness control via Apple or Android mobile app.
