LED GAZEBO LIGHTS
Good gazebo lights turn a shaded retreat into an outdoor living room you can enjoy from spring through the cool nights of fall. Whether it is built from pressure-treated wood, galvanized steel or vinyl, a gazebo needs lighting that stands up to the weather, a warm ambiance and a discreet installation that does not weigh down the structure. LEDCO brings together the strips, profiles, pendants, wall packs, flex neon and solar fixtures for complete gazebo lighting, anywhere in Canada.
Which gazebo lights for which use
Before choosing products, decide what you will do under the gazebo in the evening. Each use has its light:
- Evenings with friends: a 2700 K strip under the beams, reminiscent of candlelight.
- Shared meals: a pendant above the table, and a 3000 K strip for better food colour rendering.
- The outdoor kitchen: 4000 K, more neutral, so you can see what you are doing.
- Access and steps: wall packs on the posts, aimed at the ground.
- The silhouette seen from the yard: flex neon along the roof outline.
LED strip under the gazebo roof, in an aluminum profile
The most discreet method is LED strip set in an aluminum profile mounted under the beams or along the inner perimeter of the roof. The profile plays three roles: it dissipates heat and extends the strip's life, its milky diffuser erases the light points, and it holds the strip steady against wind vibration.
Under a covered roof, you need at least an IP65 strip: choose it from our outdoor LED strips, such as the 9.6W/m LED strip. Indoor LED strips belong inside the house: under a gazebo, humidity and condensation still reach them. The 24 V transformer goes in a weatherproof enclosure mounted high on a post.
Pendant over the table: height and number
For a gazebo with a central table, one or more suspended LED pendants hung from the ridge create a focal point, as in a dining room. Choose a model approved for outdoor or damp locations, and hang it 30 to 36 inches above the table: it lights without dazzling your guests. For a gazebo of 12 × 16 feet or more, three pendants in a line spread the light better than one. Also check that the ridge hook can carry the fixture's weight in high wind.
Wall packs and floodlights on the posts: the perimeter and the garden
The corner posts are natural mounting points for compact LED wall packs. Mounted at mid-height, about 5 or 6 feet off the ground, they cast light downward onto the deck perimeter, the access path and the steps. On a pressure-treated wood post, all it takes is an exterior box recessed into the post and flexible conduit for the cable. Adjustable outdoor LED floodlights at the top of the posts highlight the plants around the gazebo.
LED flex neon along the roof outline: the gazebo's signature
Installed under the eave overhang or along the ridge, LED flex neon draws a luminous signature visible from the yard. Its matte diffusing surface erases the light points and gives one continuous line. In the RGB version, paired with our LED dimmers and controllers, it changes colour with the seasons or the occasion.
A gazebo at the back of the yard: solar or low voltage
When the gazebo is far from the house and no wire reaches it, our solar outdoor lighting takes over. The 20W mini solar LED wall pack mounts on a post to light the entrance, and the 20W 4000K solar floodlight lights the approach, with no trench or wiring.
If the wire can reach, low voltage remains the most consistent option: the LUVIA 100W outdoor power supply feeds the gazebo circuit, and every connection is made in an IP68 waterproof outdoor junction box, out of the water.
Technical tips for gazebo lighting
IP65 under the roof, IP67 in the rain. A strip sheltered by the roof is fine at IP65; anything exposed to direct rain needs IP67.
Stay with low voltage. Under a gazebo, everything is within reach: a 12 V or 24 V circuit is the safe choice.
Mount the transformer high. In a weatherproof enclosure, out of reach of puddles and children.
A dimmer to set the mood. Choose one compatible with your transformer, and go from dinner to evening with one touch.
One shade of white. Strip, pendant and wall packs at 3000 K blend together; mixed whites show right away.

LED Gazebo Lighting FAQ
What are the best gazebo lights?
A combination: LED strip in a profile under the beams for ambiance, a pendant above the table, and wall packs on the posts for access. In warm white, 2700 to 3000 K, the whole setup stays welcoming.
What is the best outdoor lighting for a covered pergola or gazebo?
Under a covered roof, an IP65 strip in an aluminum profile is enough and stays out of sight. If the structure is open and rain reaches the strip, move up to IP67. The transformer goes in a weatherproof enclosure, mounted high.
How do I light a gazebo with no electricity?
With solar fixtures: a mini solar wall pack mounted on a post or a solar floodlight aimed at the entrance. They recharge during the day and turn on in the evening, with no wire to bury.
How high should a pendant hang above the table?
Between 30 and 36 inches above the table: the light falls on the plates without dazzling your guests. For a gazebo of 12 × 16 feet or more, three pendants in a line beat a single one in the centre.
Do outdoor gazebo lights need to be waterproof?
Yes. Even under a roof, a gazebo gets humidity, condensation and wind-driven rain. Choose products made for outdoor use: IP65 at minimum under the roof, IP67 for anything exposed.
