The RGB 14.4W/m LED strip (IP22) is a multicolor decorative lighting solution designed for residential and commercial projects requiring dynamic color ambiance. Compatible with 12V or 24V DC, it offers unique installation flexibility within the LEDCO lineup — ideal for new 24V installations or for integrating into existing 12V systems.

Featuring 60 SMD 5050 diodes per meter on an 8mm PCB, this RGB strip produces uniform color across its entire length with a 120° beam angle. cULus certified, it meets electrical standards in effect in both Canada and the United States, with a lifespan of up to 50,000 hours.

Power Supply Calculator                       

This LED strip consumes approximately 4.4 watts per foot. Simply multiply the total installed length by 4.4 to determine the required wattage.

Always add a 20% safety margin to ensure system stability and longevity.

• 1 reel (5 m / ~16 ft) = 72W → 96W power supply recommended
• 2 reels (~32 ft) = 144W → 150W or 200W power supply recommended
• 3 reels (~48 ft) = 216W → 240W power supply recommended

Use a 24V power supply matched to the total calculated wattage. For existing 12V systems, a 12V power supply of equivalent wattage can be used.

Color Control and Dimming                       

The RGB LED strip is controlled via a wireless controller system made up of a receiver paired with a remote or wireless wall controller. This system allows you to not only adjust brightness but also independently mix red, green, and blue channels to achieve any color.

A zone is any section of lighting you want to control independently. For example, if you want a ceiling to turn on separately from a niche, or one section to display a different color than another, that represents two distinct zones.

If you want all lighting to always operate together (same color and simultaneous on/off), a single receiver is sufficient for the entire installation. However, if the total power of your project exceeds 225W on that zone, a 20A RGB LED amplifier must be added to ensure stable, uniform, and lasting power delivery.

• W24 – Wireless RGB wall controller (AAA batteries), range up to 100 feet, up to 4 zones.
• R24 – RGB radio-frequency remote, range up to 100 feet, up to 4 zones.
• Universal 4-Zone 12A Receiver – Installed between the power supply and the LED strip to receive the signal (1 per independent zone).
• RGB LED Amplifier 20A (480W at 24V) – Recommended for installations exceeding 225W per zone.
• RGBW WiFi Controller – Color and intensity control via Apple or Android mobile app.
