LED WALL LIGHTING
LED wall lights work differently from a ceiling light: they draw light on the wall, highlight an entrance, accompany a staircase or showcase a façade. They are also the solution when the ceiling does not lend itself to recessed lights, or when you want to add atmosphere to a room that is already lit. Light, guide or showcase: the first question
Before choosing a model, ask what the wall has to do. Light: provide useful light, above a vanity or in a corridor with no ceiling fixture. Guide: mark a staircase, an entrance, a passage, with a low light that shows the way. Showcase: reveal a texture, an accent wall, a façade.
Linear LED wall sconces: slot, oval or backlit
Linear sconces are a very current way to light a living room wall, a corridor, an entrance or the area above a mirror. The 20 in 12W 3CCT LED slot linear wall sconce lets light through a thin opening, the 20 or 24 in oval sconce has a softer shape, and the 48 in 30W 3CCT backlit linear sconce spreads its light on the wall behind it. All are offered in 3CCT, three selectable colour temperatures, from warm white for a bedroom to a more neutral white for an office or a kitchen.
4W and 8W 3000K up/down sconces: two beams on the wall
For discreet ambient lighting, a sconce that projects light upward and downward draws two beams on the wall and gives depth to a plain surface. The 4W 3000K round up/down LED wall sconce suits corridors, stairwells and either side of a bed, while the 8W 3000K up/down sconce brings more light to a living or dining room. Above the vanity: the 2' 5CCT bathroom light fixture
Above a bathroom mirror, the light has to illuminate the face without creating harsh shadows. The 2' 5CCT square bathroom light fixture and its round version mount on the wall above the vanity and offer five colour temperatures, to go from warm light in the evening to a crisper white for shaving or makeup. LED strip in a profile: the wall as a light source
To create a line of light in a wall, a band, a niche, a cornice or a division between two areas, nothing beats an LED strip installed in a profile. Indoor LED strip sits in an aluminum profile for LED strips whose diffuser softens the light points and produces an even line. A recessed profile integrates into drywall for a flush finish, and a CCT or dim-to-warm strip lets you adjust the mood. LED wall washers: façades and accent walls
A wall washer bathes an entire wall in light to reveal its texture: brick, stone, concrete or wood. Our LED wall washers, such as the 60W RGBW #WW1 wall washer, the 36W #WW2 or the 40W #WW5, also let you play with colour on a commercial façade or a sign, and are controlled by DMX with the 3-channel DMX controller, designed for up to 50 RGB wall washers.
Outside: outdoor sconces and LED wall packs
Outside the house, the 10, 14 or 18 in bidirectional wall fixtures light upward and downward on either side of the door, the 13W 3000K IP65 outdoor LED wall light welcomes visitors with warm light, and the 5CCT 0-10V dimmable LED unit number light keeps the address readable at night. To sum up, from inside to outside. Each wall has its family:
- Living room or entrance wall: slot, oval or backlit linear sconce, in 3CCT.
- Corridor, staircase, bedside: 4W or 8W up/down sconce, in 3000K.
- Above the vanity: 2' 5CCT bathroom light fixture, or an LED mirror.
- Niche, band, cornice: LED strip in an aluminum profile, cut to length.

Technical tips for LED wall lights
A sconce goes at standing eye level. Higher, it lights the ceiling; lower, it glares at whoever walks by.
Set the 3CCT once, for all of them. Two sconces in the same corridor in two different tones are noticed immediately.
Up/down needs a plain, light-coloured wall. The two beams read on a smooth surface; on a busy wall, prefer a linear sconce.
Outdoors, check the IP rating first. An IP65 sconce takes the rain; an indoor model has no business outside.
The wall washer sits set back. Too close, it lights only the bottom; move the source back and the light climbs and reveals the whole texture.
LED wall lights FAQ
Can LED wall lights replace the ceiling light?
In a corridor, an entrance or a bathroom, yes: linear sconces or a fixture above the vanity give the useful light without cutting into the ceiling. In a living room, the wall fixture is more of a mood light.
What is the difference between an up/down sconce and a linear sconce?
The up/down projects two opposite beams on the wall and creates depth, with little useful light. The linear, slot, oval or backlit, gives more light and draws a line or a halo. You choose the first for atmosphere, the second to light.
Which colour temperature for a wall LED?
Warm white 3000K for living areas, corridors and the bedside. A more neutral white above a vanity or in an office.
Which wall fixture for outdoors?
An IP65 outdoor sconce or a 10, 14 or 18 in bidirectional wall fixture on either side of the door, and a unit number light for the address. On a commercial building, wall packs cover the service entrances and the perimeter.
How do you light a brick or stone wall?
