OUTDOOR LED WALL LIGHT FIXTURES
An outdoor LED wall light plays two roles at once: it provides safety around the building and shapes its appearance once night falls. A well-lit façade enhances the architecture, discourages intrusions and guides visitors to the right door. LEDCO offers two main families of outdoor LED wall light fixtures: rugged, powerful wall packs for commercial buildings, and decorative sconces for homes and restaurants. The right choice depends on the mounting height and the style of the building.
Façade lighting: wall pack or sconce, depending on height and building
The question is settled quickly. A high wall, a parking lot or a dock to light, a commercial building: that is the wall pack, mounted high, projecting powerful light downward. A home entrance, a garage door, a restaurant patio: that is the sconce, mounted near eye level, drawing the light on the siding. The two often meet on the same building: wall packs on the sides and the back, sconces on the main façade. For the entrance to the lot, the LED outdoor post light page complements this one.
Standard LED wall packs: commercial and industrial façades
The LED wall pack is the reference wall fixture for commercial, industrial and institutional buildings. Mounted on the façade at a height of 2.5 to 5 metres, it projects powerful light downward onto pedestrian access points, loading docks, nearby parking spaces and the building perimeter. The 30W-40W-50W-60W standard model suits walls of medium height, and the 75W-90W-105W-120W standard LED wall pack suits large areas, as in the commercial lighting project with a 120 W wall pack featured among our accomplishments.
Full cut-off wall packs: keeping the light on the ground
Full cut-off models direct the light output downward and avoid lighting the sky and neighbouring properties, a criterion often required by municipal by-laws in Quebec. The 25W-40W-60W full cut-off LED wall pack suits façades close to homes, and the 80W-100W-120W version suits large buildings. For automatic operation, a 120V photocell turns the circuit on at dusk and off at dawn, with no manual intervention.
Doorway, adjustable, CCT and solar wall packs: one model per door
Not every door on a building needs the same fixture:
- Service door or employee exit: the 9W-12W-15W doorway LED wall pack, or its 20W-25W-30W version, lights the threshold without oversizing.
- Dock or parking corner to aim at: the 40W-50W-60W-75W adjustable LED wall pack is aimed at the area you want.
- Façade already equipped: the 28W-40W-60W CCT LED wall pack is set to the tone of the fixtures in place.
- Shed or shelter with no power: the 15W solar LED wall pack operates on its own.
10, 14 and 18-inch bidirectional sconces and the 13W 3000K IP65 sconce: the modern home
For a residential entrance, a garage door, a restaurant or a hotel, the decorative sconce combines lighting performance with architectural coherence. The 18" bidirectional outdoor LED wall light fixture projects light up and down and draws two beams on the siding; the 10" and 14" formats suit narrower walls. The 13W 3000K IP65 outdoor LED wall light is another option for a home entrance, and the LUVIA, EXIL, 8" and adjustable models complete the family.
Colour temperature matters a great deal outdoors. A warm white of 2700 K or 3000 K creates a welcoming atmosphere for a home or a restaurant, while a neutral white of 4000 K better suits a business looking for visibility and clarity. All the options are brought together in our LED wall light fixtures.
5CCT unit number light and 3CCT cylinder: the two details that finish a façade
The 5CCT 0-10V dimmable LED unit number light makes the address readable at night, for visitors and emergency services alike, and its 0-10V dimming lets you match its intensity to that of the façade. The 3CCT 120-347V outdoor LED cylinder, which mounts on a wall or a ceiling, suits covered entrances, porch columns and passages under an overhang. Its tone can be set to one of three colour temperatures, which makes it easy to match with the rest of the façade lighting.
Technical tips for outdoor LED wall light fixtures
Mount the wall pack high, the sconce low. The wall pack covers an area from 2.5 to 5 metres up; the sconce is read up close, next to the door.
Full cut-off near the neighbours. As soon as a home borders the wall, the model that keeps the light on the ground avoids complaints and meets the by-law.
One tone across the whole façade. The CCT, 3CCT and 5CCT models exist precisely to match a new unit to the old ones.
A photocell on the circuit. Switching on at dusk and off at dawn happens without anyone thinking about it.
Reuse the existing outlet box. Sconces connect in a standard box, and many replacements reuse the location of the old halogen sconces.

Outdoor LED wall light FAQ
What is a wall pack?
A rugged outdoor wall fixture, mounted high on a building wall, that projects powerful light downward onto access points, docks and the parking lot. It is the basic fixture of commercial and industrial façades; it comes in standard, full cut-off, doorway, adjustable, CCT and solar versions.
Wall pack or sconce: which one for my façade?
A high wall, a large area or a commercial building: the wall pack. A home entrance, a garage door or a restaurant patio: the sconce, which draws the light on the siding. Many buildings combine the two.
How high should an outdoor wall fixture be mounted?
Wall packs are mounted 2.5 to 5 metres up depending on the area to cover. Sconces go next to the door, roughly at eye level or a little above, so they light the threshold without dazzling whoever walks in.
What shade of white for façade lighting?
2700 K or 3000 K for a home or a restaurant, where you want a welcoming atmosphere; 4000 K for a business looking for visibility. On a façade already equipped, a CCT model is set to the existing tone.
Can I replace an old halogen sconce without rewiring?
In most cases, yes: LED sconces connect to an existing circuit in a standard outlet box, in the same location as the old one. For new construction or a complete upgrade, contact our team: we recommend the fixture layout based on the area to light and the constraints of the façade.
