INDUSTRIAL LED LIGHTING
An industrial lighting project is chosen by the building, not from a catalogue. A racked warehouse, a machining shop, a truck garage and a wash-down room do not share the same height, the same dust or the same hours of occupancy. LEDCO supplies the fixtures for each of them: UFO high bays from 90 W to 300 W, linear high bays from 85 W to 400 W, all in 120-347 V, wall packs for the yard, vapour-tight and explosion-proof fixtures for the hard zones, and the emergency lighting of the egress routes.
Warehouse and distribution centre: the UFO high bay in the aisles
In a warehouse, light is judged in the aisle: you have to read a label at the top of the rack. Round, compact UFO-format LED high bays are the usual solution for these open, high-ceiling areas. LEDCO offers them in three models, 90 W-120 W-150 W, 180 W-200 W-240 W and 240 W-270 W-300 W, each covering three selectable wattages. You adjust the light without changing fixtures and keep the same model throughout, such as the 180 W-200 W-240 W UFO high bay. For a complete warehouse, aisle by aisle, see our page on LED warehouse lighting.
Manufacturing shop and assembly line: the linear high bay
Above a production line or an assembly table, the linear format stretches the light in the direction of the work and limits cast shadows. It comes in 85 W-100 W-130 W-155 W, in 200 W-230 W-270 W and up to the 320 W-360 W-400 W linear high bay for very large volumes. If your building is a factory with well-defined workstations, our page on LED factory lighting covers each station separately.
Which fixture for which industrial building
Here is how we guide a manager or an electrician according to the building, before talking quantities:
- Racked warehouse: UFO high bays in the aisles, one single model in three wattages.
- Machining or assembly shop: linear high bays aligned with the work lines.
- Truck or bus garage: high bays on sensors, lit only when the bay is occupied.
- Wash-down room or food processing: vapour-tight fixtures with a sealed housing.
- Explosive atmosphere zone: explosion-proof fixtures, once the classification is confirmed.
- Yard, docks and service doors: wall packs on the wall, floodlights for large areas.
Heavy vehicle garage and mezzanines: controlling high bays with sensors
Part of an industrial building sits empty most of the time: garage bays between two services, mezzanines, stockrooms. The PIR Bluetooth sensor for LED high bays, available in white or black with an L-shaped swivel base, turns the fixtures on only when someone passes. The microwave sensor for LED high bays is set with its remote. To group fixtures into zones, the Bluetooth 0-10V power pack with 20 A relay, the Bluetooth 0-10V wireless fixture controller and the Bluetooth wall switches allow dimming and switching by area, with no new control wiring.
Docks, yard and service doors: full cut-off wall packs and floodlights
Around the building, LED wall packs light the docks, overhead doors, staff entrances and the yard. The 80 W-100 W-120 W full cut-off wall pack directs all of its light toward the ground: the manoeuvring area is lit without dazzling truck drivers or neighbours, and the 25 W-40 W-60 W version suits service doors. Adjustable models aim at a specific area, and standard wall packs from 30 W to 120 W cover long walls. For a large yard or a trailer parking lot, outdoor LED floodlights take over.
Egress routes and hard zones: emergency, vapour-tight, explosion-proof
Egress routes in an industrial building are long and often cluttered; their lighting is planned on separate circuits. LEDCO offers LED emergency lights, single or double remote heads from 2 W to 14 W to extend coverage, and "Running Man" exit signs in plastic or metal, including a metal version with 6-24 V remote power. The placement of the units follows the evacuation plan; your electrician or engineer remains the reference for code compliance.
In a wash-down room or a damp or dusty area with a lower ceiling, turn to the vapour-tight fixtures in the integrated LED fixtures category. In an area where the atmosphere may be explosive, LEDCO offers explosion-proof LED lights; the area classification must be confirmed before choosing the model.
Technical tips for industrial lighting
One high bay model per building. Each model covers three wattages: you set the light zone by zone without multiplying part numbers or spares.
Check the voltage before ordering. Our high bays and wall packs accept 120 V as well as 347 V; confirm what your panel distributes.
Light the faces of the racks. Not just the floor: in a tall warehouse, the format and position of the fixture matter as much as its wattage.
Put lightly occupied zones on sensors. Storage aisles, mezzanines and garage bays do not need to stay lit all night.
Confirm the classification of an explosive zone. Before any purchase: the right explosion-proof fixture depends on it, and your engineer is the one who provides it.
Our high bays already light industrial buildings, such as at Systelec or in a project completed with 240 W high bays, both featured in our accomplishments. To plan your industrial lighting, from the number of fixtures to the sensor zones, contact the LEDCO team with a building plan and its ceiling heights.

Industrial lighting FAQ
Which high bay should I choose for a racked warehouse?
For an open, high-ceiling area, the UFO high bay is the usual choice; in a narrow aisle between two racks, the linear format spreads the light better along the length and onto the pallet faces. A building plan with its heights is enough for us to propose the format and the quantity.
Do the high bays run on a 347 V circuit?
Yes. LEDCO UFO and linear high bays are offered in 120-347 V, as are the standard, full cut-off and adjustable wall packs. Your electrician therefore does not need an intermediate transformer for a 347 V installation.
How do I cut the consumption of industrial lighting in lightly occupied zones?
By adding a PIR Bluetooth or microwave sensor to the high bays in those zones: the fixtures come on when someone passes and stay off the rest of the time. To drive several fixtures as a group, the Bluetooth 0-10V power pack with 20 A relay brings a sector under one control, wirelessly.
Which fixture goes in a damp, dusty or explosive zone?
In a wash-down room or a dusty sector with a lower ceiling, a vapour-tight fixture with a sealed housing from the integrated LED fixtures category. In an area where the atmosphere may be explosive, an explosion-proof fixture, chosen once your engineer has confirmed the classification. One does not replace the other.
